
Don Killingsworth
Director of Governmental Relations, CUGAR Chair
Don Killingsworth is the Director of Government Relations at Jacksonville State University. He first arrived in Jacksonville, AL in 1994. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1999 with a major in Geography and History and a Master’s Degree in 2001 with a major in Counseling from Jacksonville State University. As a student at JSU, Don was active in many campus organizations including the Student Government Association where he served as President, and he also served as STARS coordinator in 2000. After graduating, Don went to work with the American College Testing, Inc. (ACT) in Atlanta as an Educational Consultant. After working for American College Testing, Inc. (ACT) as an educational consultant, Don came back to work at JSU as Coordinator of Academic Advisement in 2002. In 2002, he moved back to Jacksonville to work at his alma mater as the Coordinator of Academic Advisement. He also taught as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Learning Skills and served on the New Student Orientation Advisory Board that oversees all orientation aspects. He received his Doctorate at The University of Alabama in Higher Education Administration. Don and his wife currently reside in Jacksonville, Alabama. They have one child.
