Brett Johnson

Brett Johnson is the Public Relations Director at the Alabama Education Association (AEA). Before going to AEA, Brett served as the Director of Membership & Student Activities at the Higher Education Partnership. Brett received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication, with a concentration in Public Relations from Jacksonville State University. There, he served as the SGA President and worked with the Partnership as Chair of the University Student Presidents Council (USPC) where he spearheaded the Backpacks for Schools statewide initiative and spoke at Higher Education Day. He also engaged students in legislative advocacy and led campus recruitment for Higher Education Day as a STARS Coordinator. He is a native of Hokes Bluff, Alabama and currently resides in Boaz with his wife Tiffany. They have a new baby, Laike Alton Johnson, who will be 5 weeks old at the time of this conference.
