The Higher Education Partnership
Foundation, Inc. (Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) organization formed for the
purpose of promoting public higher education in the State of Alabama.
The Foundation will enhance the effort to improve long-term economic and
quality of life opportunities for the people of Alabama. The primary
goal of the Foundation is to serve as a vehicle for educating people
about the importance of higher education in bettering the lives of the
people of Alabama. Through
donations, the Foundation provides leadership training, promotes
awareness of higher education among leaders, and offers leadership
retreats for university students, alumni, faculty, etc. We plan to
strengthen the communications abilities of these participants and to
teach them “how to influence public policy.” We want the participants to
be better prepared to advocate for public universities and to relate the
importance of higher education in bettering the lives of people in
Alabama.
